Area covered ...

I cover Yorkshire and Humberside, but am increasingly asked to visit yards in Lancashire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Merseyside, Cumbria and Co Durham. I visit Scotland once or twice a year, and see clients in Cambridgeshire, Surrey and Berkshire on a twice-yearly basis.

Appointment system ...

The preferred way to make an appointment is by calling Madeleine, who keeps my diary.

We aim to answer enquiries within 24 hours. We try to group each day’s appointments in the same geographical area, and will offer you the earliest possible appointment in your particular location.

I always try to time my visits to suit the client. I never know exactly what treatment each horse will need until I see it, so (apart from the first call of the day) I can not predict precisely when I shall be with you. So rather than giving firm times which might slip, we aim to give time guidelines such as ‘early afternoon’ ‘between 12 noon and 2pm or ‘last call – after 5pm.’

What we need to know ...

Your name, address with street name and number, postcode and nearby landmarks to help us find you. Your home and mobile phone numbers and the best way to contact you on the day of our visit.

For safety’s sake we only work indoors and need a bright stable, a wash box is ideal, with little bedding and non-slip level hard standing in which we can treat one or more horses. And we need water and an electric power point.
